A MUM has spoken of her gratitude after her dog was rescue from a pond.
On Monday evening, Emma Kedie's dog got stuck in a pond in Cainscross.
Her daughter called some friends who are sea cadets who didn't hesitate to help save the pet, a springer spaniel.
Emma Kedie said: "Our dog Louie decided to go for a swim in our local woodland park on our way home from a walk.
"He soon got himself into some trouble as the pond was about a metre deep with thick mud.
"Our daughter called upon her friends at Sea Cadets Stroud for some help - they didn't hesitate to come along with a kayak to help.
"Between PO Pitcher, Cadet Kennedy, and Cadet Keddie, along with the owner, they managed to get our Louie out from the mud and back to dry land.
"I can't thank the sea cadets enough for all their help.
"They are a fantastic organisation that will always go out of their way to help if able."
