STROUD youngsters were treated to a two-day fun filled festival last weekend.

Activities, fun and games marking the start of the summer holidays ran throughout the indoor market area and at the centre's new outdoor courtyard.

Children were treated to magic tricks, balloon modelling, face painting, clay modelling and a visit from two Disney princesses for the special festival.

The centre also introduced giant Lego and soft play to its outdoor courtyard complementing the range of free outdoor games, table tennis and table football already there for all to enjoy.

The fun hasn’t ended there as this Friday the centre will welcome one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who is keen to celebrate with fans the release of the new film, Mutant Mayhem, on the samday.

The character meet and greet will take place from 2pm until 4pm across both Friday and Saturday linking in with the two showings at VUE at 2.30pm and 5:15pm

Also this Friday for the late night market, Harry and the Plant Pots will be spoiling market goers with a lively performance on stage complementing the range of street food vendors who will be staying open until 8:30pm.

Five Valleys, which is open seven days a week, will also be hosting live music on Sunday with the return of harpist, Morwenna.

The local harpist will be providing a chance for budding musicians to have a try on special children’s sized harps in a pop up, interactiv music lesson held over lunch time.

Centre Manager at Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: "We hope with the ongoing free entertainment we’re providing plenty of choice and
excitement ensuring everyone’s trip to Five Valleys is as enjoyable as possible.

“Families have the chance to shop, enjoy delicious street food, catch a film or enjoy a game of bowling with some great deals to be had over the weekends and throughout the school holidays.”
