THE DWP has issued a statement following the temporary closure of the Stroud Jobcentre.
A notice in the door explains that the Jobcentre, based on the corner of Threadneedle and Union Street, has closed due to health and safety reasons.
A DWP spokesperson said:“Stroud Jobcentre is temporarily closed from Friday, July 14 due to water damage caused by heavy rain.
"Benefit payments are unaffected and customers have been notified about alternative arrangements.
"Gloucester Jobcentre is open as usual for customers with new claims, as well as existing self-employed and vulnerable customers, and all other appointments will be conducted by telephone.”
