Tonight's flash flooding has caused chaos across Stroud for motorists.
Slad Road, Merrywalks, and Beeches Green are just some of the roads in the town centre badly affected by tonight's floods.
The rain - which has, at the time of writing (7.30pm) now stopped - hit the town in the late afternoon/early evening.
There has also been thunder and lightning throughout the day.
Following the flash floods, traffic has been at a standstill in many key Stroud roads, with ambulances struggling to get through.
The scenes in Slad Road were particularly concerning, with one stretch of the road outside the former Locking Hill surgery completely covered in water.
While the water in Slad Road is slowly subsiding, the area should be avoid at present (8.30pm).
Members of the public helped unblock drains using broomhandles and a car had to be towed away after breaking down in the high water.
