THERE is rare opportunity to visit a stunning nature reserve this weekend to see Britain's rarest buttercup.
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Badgeworth nature reserve near Cheltenham is open this Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
The site is closed 364 days a year but opens up one Sunday in June to give the public an insight into a rare flower - the adder’s-tongue spearwort - more commonly known as the Badgeworth buttercup.
Sophie Wootton-Lee from the GWT said: "There will be free tea and cake, pond dipping, a meadow safari walk and plenty of experts on hand to talk to about all things wildlife.
"It promises to be a fun and insightful day out for any nature enthusiast - come along on Sunday or prepare to wait another year for your chance."
The location is Cold Pool Lane, near Badgeworth, Cheltenham (GL51 6TS).
