MULTIPLE events are taking place in or near Stroud over the coronation weekend.
While the eyes of the country and the world are on King Charles III's coronation tomorrow, there are plenty of events taking place on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday to to mark the historic occasion

1. Cashes Green
The Cashes Green Community Centre is hosting celebrations between 11am and 4pm which include a live stream of the service, a magic show, hot food, a bar, face painting and more.
This is free of charge although there is also an afternoon tea at 3pm which needs to be booked and paid for.
2. The Carpenters Arms
The coronation service will be live streamed on the big screen at the pub on Saturday – a bouncy castle, face painting and live music will also be on offer.
And on Sunday, they are hosting a Royal Dog Show to raise money for Teckels Animal Sanctuary.
3. Stonehouse
Stonehouse Town Council is organising an open-air picnic and barn dance.
Everyone in the town is invited to bring a picnic and join in the fun from 12pm to 4pm in Laburnum Park on Sunday, May 7.
In case of bad weather on the day, the event will be held in Stonehouse Community Centre.
Stonehouse in Bloom will have refreshments, cakes and sandwiches available in Stonehouse Community Centre and Stonehouse History Group will have a stall with historical photographs including photos of Queen Elizabeth II 1953 coronation celebrations.
Local band The Bees Knees will be encouraging those with picnics onto their feet to join in the barn dance and there will also be a free Circus Skills workshop for children and hook a duck with a small prize.
4. Minchinhampton
The High Street will be closed for the day for the coronation party which includes ive music playing from 12 noon until 6pm.
Everyone welcome to bring their own picnics and furniture to enjoy the festivities.
5. St Laurence’s Church
At the church the bells will ring for three hours on Bank Holiday Monday from 4pm.
