Cainscross rugby club minis is a junior rugby club have been nominated for a Stroud Community Award.
Nominations are flooding in for the awards which are being held by the Stroud News and Journal to celebrate all that is great about our community.
Rugby is at the heart of life in Gloucestershire with enthusiasts across the county.
Starting young can be a real benefit for children and the youngsters at Cainscross Rugby Minis exemplifies everyhting which is great about youth rugby.
The team turn out whatever the weather and always have a good time training.
Cainscross Rugby Club Minis have been entered into the Sports Team or Club of the year by Julie Sarahs.
The club clearly has a lot of fun all year round and Julie believes they deserve to be winners of an award.
Julie said: "The family & community feeling is wonderful.
"The organisation, care, dedication and skill the volunteers show to the families and children is appreciated.
"Winning this award would give the club a great boost at the end of their playing season."
The club organises matches both at home and away for multiple teams as young as 6yrs to under 11’s.
The teams bring laughter, sports skills, respect and a family feeling all season/year round.
