Forest Green Rovers held at home by Lincoln City

Winger Garrick spent the first half of the season on loan at the Imps from Swansea, but made a permanent switch in January to bottom club Rovers who are now winless in 13 league games.

Ben House had stunned Rovers to open the scoring with a side-footed volley after just four minutes, making up for lost time after serving a suspension last week.

Skipper Regan Poole sent over a teasing cross from the right flank and House nipped between two static defenders to bury his shot and claim his ninth goal of the season. But Garrick levelled with his third goal for Forest Green in the 58th minute.

Three minutes in, the opening chance fell in favour of the visitors and Ben House audaciously flicked an inviting ball from defender Regan Poole past Ross Doohan into the Rovers net.

Rovers had been pushing for an equaliser since the early goal, and loanee Charlie Savage took it upon himself to strike from distance. His effort troubled Carl Rushworth who spilled the initial shot, but was quick to reclaim the ball.

There was a big miss from Lincoln’s Olamide Shodipo 10 minutes before the interval, as he got in-behind with only Doohan to beat, but his effort was blazed over the bar and into the South Stand.

Ferguson made three changes at half-time, and 12 minutes into the second half, Rovers’ pressure paid off and Garrick produced a moment of individual brilliance as Jamie Robson whipped in a low ball into Tyrese Omotoye, who left it for Garrick to wriggle past the Imps’ defence and slot home.

A headed block from Ben Stevenson following a Lincoln corner stopped the visitors from regaining the lead again in the 65th minute.

Corey O’Keeffe was provided with a golden opportunity 15 minutes from time as he was played in one-on-one but failed to put any power on his shot, which ended up in Rushworth’s grasp.

Rovers kept searching for the winner late into the 90, and it was Myles Peart-Harris’ turn to have an attempt, but ‘keeper Rushworth was equal to his effort.
