The Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home (CDCH) has taken in two cats and it’s appealing for your help.
Sherry, a 6-year-old Persian cat, and her best friend Brandy, also a Persian cat, were brought to CDCH by an RSPCA inspector because their owner’s personal circumstances changed.
The team noticed that Sherry has a lame leg and, after veterinary investigations, it is clear that she needs to undergo surgery to remove both the head and neck of the femur.
CDCH says cats usually recover very well after the procedure and it hopes Sherry will bounce back too.
If Sherry doesn’t have the operation her quality of life will be compromised.
The procedure doesn’t come without a cost though as CDCH is looking at medical expenses of at least £2,200.
To find out more about Sherry and her journey at CDCH, you can visit the CDCH website.
How to donate to help fund Sherry’s surgery
CDCH is appealing for donations to help with the costs and if you’d like to make a one-off donation, you can visit the website.
Alternatively, you could sponsor Sherry per month with options to pay £10, £15 or £20 monthly.
You can also set your own monthly donation up by choosing an amount that is at least £10 by choosing the ‘other’ option.
