THE OWNERS of a cafe which shut last year have revealed details of their new venture which is set to open this month.
Based near Selsley Common, the cafe/restaurant will initially be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for coffee, cake and lunch.
There are also plans for pop-up evenings and brunches every fortnight.
The owners of the former Thistledown cafe, Nympsfield, who were not able to secure a long term lease at the site and had no option but to shut earlier this year, have been given the lease for the Glider Club, although they are keen to stress that this won't be Thistledown 2.0.
Almost £10,000 has been raised from a crowdfunder which was set up last month to buy more kit and train staff for this new venture.
According to a post on their social media, it won't be long before the cafe opens.
"The café electrics are being done in the second week of January and we hope to open as soon as possible after that," read the post.
"To start with we’ll be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday daytimes for very simple food, and bookable evenings and brunches every couple of weeks."
