A MUCH-LOVED cafe has announced it is closing its doors after trading in Stroud high street for two years.
Independent cafe the Loganberry opened in Stroud high street in October 2020.
Owner Janette Brain previously used to run the Upper Lock cafe near the canal in Wallbridge.
She said in a Facebook statement this morning: “When I shut the door of Loganberry on Christmas Eve, I am afraid it will be for the last time.
“I shall not be opening again in January.
“After two years keeping you supplied with coffee, cake and sausage rolls, I have decided to give myself a break and spend a little more time with my family.
“I have enjoyed your company and cheerful banter, words of encouragement and praise of the cake.
“I am also going to miss my fellow traders. We have a wonderful, supportive community in the town, and I hope you will continue to shop local.
“I am sure the Loganberry space will be quickly filled.
“Meanwhile, thank you everyone for the past two years. Have a great Christmas and a happy New Year.”
