AT LEAST three delivery lorries got stuck in snow in Cainscross whilst out in extreme weather conditions on the weekend.
In a video you can see multiple delivery lorries get stuck in the snow and ice near the Cainscross Roundabout on Sunday morning.
The hill proved too much with the compacted snow, the lorries from the Royal Mail, Tesco and Iceland all became stuck on different points on the road near Tricorn House and Lidl.
At one point a kind driver gets out of his car to help guide the Royal Mail lorry driver out of Dudbridge Road.
The motorist even tries pushing the lorry to keep it on the left hand side of the road.
Sunday’s snow day caused travel chaos with icy conditions in the morning which led to a multiple-vehicle crash on the M5 between Junction J11A near Stonehouse and J12 near Quedgeley.
The motorway was blocked with long delays but all lanes were eventually reopened at 2:46pm.
Meanwhile the A417 on Sunday afternoon between the M5 and A429 was also closed in both directions due to heavy snowfall in the area.
Glos Police Specialist Ops said on Sunday in a tweet that the force was dealing with an ‘unprecedented’ across the county amount of weather related incidents
Gloucestershire police also closed two roads on Monday due to weather conditions - the A436 near the Air Balloon Roundabout and the A435 near Charlton Hill to avoid more incidents.
