A MUCH-LOVED shop in Stroud High Street is to close after 18 years.
A spokesperson for Shaws confirmed its store in the town centre will be closing.
"It’s with great sadness that we have had to announce that our site in Stroud, that first opened its doors in 2004, will have to close after 18 years," said a spokesperson.
"The manager and the staff have worked extremely hard to ensure that all our customers have always been looked after well during this period.
"I do hope you will continue to support us if you are near a Shaws store."
The shop - which is currently still open - also has a to let sign above it.
An advert has already appeared on the estate agents Hawkins Watton website.
It says that the entire property - which comprises of a substantial three-storey retail building - is available to let.
