A BUFETT was held at a pub in Stroud to mark the funeral of the Queen.
At the Fountain Inn, Slad Road, Stroud, regulars came together as a community during this historic occasion.
Families, friends and children were at the pub, which was recently taken over by landlady Chloe Phelps and her dad Steve Dangerfield.
The pub opened at 10am to show the funeral before providing a buffet in the afternoon of cream tea, scones, cake and more.
Union Flags were draped along the bar and in the window with many in attendance wearing black.
Those in the pub seemed to be in good spirits, spending time with their loved ones, as many across the region and country would have done at home or with their local community.
"A lot of regulars asked us to do something as they didn't want to sit alone to watch the funeral," said landlady Chloe Phelps.
"A funeral can be hard time for a lot of people, so it was really nice for us all to be together.
"Showing this event means people aren't left out.
"We thought that it would be nice for us to something together on this day, especially as we are trying to get a good community feel to the place.
"We are a family orientated pub and we are trying to put events like these on for the community.
"A lot of the regulars also made some of the food and or donated items for the buffet so that we could all enjoy it together."
