THREE teenage boys have pleaded guilty to charges following an altercation inside Gloucester McDonald’s last Tuesday (6 September).
The incident on Westgate Street happened at around 5.45pm and the boys had offensive weapons including knives and a wooden bat.
They pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possession of offensive weapons
Two 15-year-olds from Gloucester and Caden Stephens, aged 18 and of Boulmer Avenue, Kingsway, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (8 September).
Stephens was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 7 October.
The two 15-year-olds have both been remanded into local authority care with stringent conditions, including not to enter Gloucestershire, not to associate with each other, to be accompanied by an adult at all times and to be subject to a tagged curfew.
They cannot be named for legal reasons.
It comes as two further teenage boys have been charged in connection with the incident.
Two 17-year-olds, both from Gloucester, have been charged with violent disorder and possession of a bladed weapon.
They appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court and have also been bailed with strict conditions, including not to contact one another and to be subject to a tagged curfew.
One teen is prohibited from entering Gloucestershire, while the other must not enter Gloucester city centre.
A police spokesperson said: “Gloucestershire Constabulary takes all incidents involving weapons and violence seriously and we would encourage the public to report any concerns or information they may have to police.”
