OUR Trader of the Week this week is Time After Time - a real vintage gem in the heart of Stroud.
Time After Time is run by David and Sandra Ireland and it has already received some quality recommendations. Time After Time was included in the Telegraph Magazine’s top 50 UK vintage stores and was also recommended by Wayne Hemmingway and others.
If vintage is your thing, David and Sandra’s emporium should be right up your street.
We took time out to find out what makes the business tick and why Stroud is so important to them.
David said: “I am the owner, with Sandra Ireland, my partner. We hand-pick and curate high quality, immaculate vintage and antique clothes, accessories and homewares for men and women.
Where are you? “We’re at 30 High Street, and our website is stroudvintage.com. We’re in our 26th year, in the Telegraph Magazine’s to 50 UK vintage stores.
“We’re recommended by Vogue, Wayne Hemmingway and others. We’re open six days a week.
“What’s our best selling item? Well, we have a vast collection of unique pieces ranging from mid-Victorian clothes to fairly modern designer pieces (Lagerfeld, Chanel, Fustenberg, Treacey), but our constant bestseller has to be our cool shade (at least one pair a day, winter and summer…)
“The weirdest thing we’ve been asked for? “Someone asked if they could buy our marble sink in the kitchen the other day…but really, nothing to weird for you…if we don’t have it, we can probably source it.
What is Stroud like as a place to do business?
“Stroud is an absolute delight as a place to operate in. Our customers are a blend of locals and out-of-towners with a good smattering of international visitors too.”
