Make a difference with a Stroud Town Council grant

"We set aside money to support a range of services and initiatives, from projects enabling the town to reduce its carbon footprint to providing services to improve the lives of residents," said Stroud Mayor Stella Parkes.

“As a result of Covid-19 and the lockdowns, we have more than £50,000 in the grant pots and would encourage groups to complete the straightforward grant application forms.”

The Covid-19 Community Resilience Fund was created to help the town recover fro the pandemic. Applications for grants can be received anytime by the Town Clerk.

The Carbon Reduction Fund aims to provide funding towards projects where a primary aim is to reduce CO2 emissions from households, organisations or individuals in Stroud. The deadlines for grant applications are 30 August, 1 November, 3 January 2023 and 7 March 2023.

The Community Fund helps groups and organisations that work to strengthen Stroud's community. Grants are between £500 and £3,000.

The Arts and Culture Fund supports public events and projects that will benefit people in Stroud parish through art and cultural activity. Grants are between £500 and £5,000 (normally no more than £3,000).

The Small Grants Fund supports and encourages a diverse range of youth and community activities, initiatives and events that meet the needs of Stroud Parish residents. Grants are between £50 and £500.

The deadlines for the Community, Arts and Culture and Small Grants are: 7 November and 6 February 2023.

“These funds were set aside by the Town Council to support projects and events that will benefit residents in Stroud parish," said Councillor Parkes. "We would urge groups and organisations to apply.”
