THE first Nailsworth Transport Fair which took place on Sunday featured a range of vehicles, from a 1920s locally-built Hampton to state-of-the-art electric cars and bikes.

Organised by Nailsworth Chamber of Trade & Commerce, the day included market stalls selling food and drink, handmade gifts, and entertainment.

More than 100 motorcycles and cars took part in the event.

"A transport fair is the perfect way to demonstrate how vehicles have changed over the years, and a great place for visitors to ask questions of experts on sustainability," said Sarah Martin of the chamber.

"The aim is for people to have a fantastic time, but also to show how action on climate today will help make positive differences.

The event also featured information on other environmentally friendly products

"We see the fair as a way of sharing upcoming projects, and for members of the public to contribute their own ideas, too," added Sarah.

"We all need to start making choices that will help the planet, and ensure a healthy present and future for our children."
