THE much-anticipated Stonehouse town market was officially opened today.
Residents gathered in the sunshine to enjoy live music, a dance show and lovely products.
Stroud MP Siobhan Baillie, Cllr Mark Hawthorne MBE and Stonehouse Mayor Gary Powell were among those in attendance.
Conservative Councillor for Stroud District Council and Gloucestershire County Council (Stonehouse) Nick Housden had previously told the SNJ how important this market would be.
"It will be a ‘game changer’ for Stonehouse, helping support businesses along our High Street by driving in footfall, and bringing a fresh energy to the town after the pandemic," he said.
