A MAJOR update was given regarding a popular pub which had been due to close.
The well-known pub near Stroud had announced that it would shut, which left locals devastated.
The pub in question - The White Hart, a pub in Leonard Stanley, near Stroud - had said that it would close this Saturday.

However, an update was provided on the White Hart's Facebook page.
The post - which has left locals delighted - read: "As there is a prospect of the pub having a new leaseholder it has been decided the pub will remain OPEN!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
"We will update further as we know more."
The SNJ understands that the b&b which is also part of the White Hart was never in danger of closing.
