A HOUSING association will soon be completing work on a range of homes at a development in Stonehouse.
Great Oldbury, off Oldends Lane, is a brand-new mixed tenure development, with its own local centre and purpose-built nursery, pre-school and primary academy.
Bromford’s Shared Ownership homes will consist of two and three-bedroom properties, which are more than ideal for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers looking to make the move to a more manageable home.

What is Shared Ownership?
Shared Ownership gives first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a property the chance to secure a new build home with Bromford.
Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.
One of the properties which will soon be available for homebuyers is the two-bedroom The Sandford style home, which benefits from a spacious, open plan living/dining room, with French doors leading out to the turfed rear garden, creating the perfect space for entertaining.
A modern, fitted kitchen, cloakroom and handy storage cupboard complete the ground floor.
Upstairs are two generous bedrooms, a stylish bathroom and additional storage areas, providing the whole household with plenty of space.
Catherine Jarrett, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bromford, said: “We are very excited to soon be releasing our brand-new Shared Ownership homes for sale, and to be offering Gloucestershire buyers with an affordable solution to getting onto the property ladder.
“For many years at Bromford, we have been committed to providing Gloucestershire with much-needed, high-quality affordable housing, and are thrilled to be continuing our investment at Great Oldbury.”
Bromford’s Shared Ownership homes have been built specifically to meet the needs of local people, and priority will be given to those who have a connection to Stroud District Council.
The local area connection is based on buyers having been a resident or employed within the area for two to five years, or having family connections who have lived in the area for at least three years.
