A TEMPORARY 40mph speed limit is set to be imposed on the A419, Ebley by pass.
This is a temporary change in the speed limit to do with Severn Trent Water's sewage upgrade works.
It had been due to come in to force from March 14.
However, the poor weather over the last couple of weeks has had an impact on some of Severn Trent's activities, so it may be not come in to force until the week commencing March 21.
The new speed limit, which has been reduced from 60mph, will be in place till June 2023.
Severn Trent Water is installing a combined sewer overflow and associated outfall on land south of the by pass.
From Monday, March 21 teams will be working in multiple locations in the fields adjacent to the by pass to construct a new sewerage site, whilst also carrying out essential works on the sewerage system alongside the River Frome.
This will take approximately 18 months to complete.
For the first three months of this work, temporary traffic lights will be in place mid-way along the bypass between the Sainsburys roundabout and Ryeford Industrial estate.
Temporary traffic lights will be re-introduced at specific times throughout the duration of the work when needed
