THE Cotswold Clouds Classic Car Trial returned to the hills around Stroud after a Covid-enforced break and spectators turned out in large numbers to watch a full entry attempt some legendary old lanes.
The Stroud & District Motor Club event has been running since 1962 and 80 cars set off from the Fromebridge Mill, Whitminster start, to tackle sections including Crooked Mustard in Dursley, Nailsworth Ladder, and Merve’s Swerve near Bisley.
The overall winner was Devon driver David Haizelden who was one of only eight drivers to ascend the Crooked Mustard hill in Dursley.
