The Butchers Arms only serve roasts on Sunday, including a vegetarian option the meat is locally sliced and delicious, great Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes and other veggies all freshly cooked. They did a children’s menu for the little one. Great selection of puddings as well.”

The Butchers Arms
Location: Sheepscombe, GL6 7RH
One reviewer wrote: “Really beautiful cosy pub tucked away in the Cotswolds. The food was excellent, and the choice of beers was really good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Lanes to the pub are narrow but there are plenty of spots to pass. If you are a nervous driver you are better heading in from Birdlip rather than Painswick. Highly recommend and we will be back.”
Another said: “The service and food was outstanding, so much so that we booked Sunday lunch whilst we were there.
"Beautiful place, gorgeous surroundings, fantastic service and amazing food. If I could give 10 stars I could.”

"Everything on the plate was delicious, and cooked to a very high standard. Full of flavour, we polished off every morsel, even though there was plenty. I couldn’t believe the price was so reasonable for such a high quality offering.”

We’d been told about this place by family but when we stopped in on Sunday on the off chance that they could fit us in we were pleasantly pleased when they did, and the food... we were both amazed and so wonderfully full, the food was so good!! The gravy was just scrumptious!! I had the steak and my husband had the pork, can’t wait to go back and try more!!”
