WILTSHIRE and Gloucestershire will feature in the fourth and final episode a new TV series called The Cotswolds with Pam Ayres which airs tonight, Friday October 8, on Channel 5 at 8pm.
Pam is a local poet, writer and great supporter and friend of the Park.
Pam was, as you can imagine, fantastic company, incredibly witty and a natural with all the animals she encountered during filming. She clearly has a great affinity with the natural world and everyone at the Park adored spending time with Pam during filming.
A spokesman for the park said: "During filming, we found out that Tamarins are one of Pam's favourite animals so we asked her if she would like to name our newly-born Cotton-top Tamarin twins. Pam has just decided on names and shared the meaning behind them:
"This is a very big responsibility! However, bearing in mind that they are exquisitely beautiful and special, I wondered about naming them after natural precious stones. The two I would like to suggest and which can be grey/white are Moonstone and Jasper.
"Moonstone is my absolute favourite and was also much loved by my mum, and Jasper is thought to be excellent for creativity (very important for a Tamarin!).
"But I have chosen these names because they are of the natural world, can be grey or white in colour and are rare and beautiful."
Pam has officially adopted our Tamarins as a small thank you from the Park.
