A group of men are suspected of carrying out a racially aggravated assault following a dispute outside McDonald's in Cirencester.
The victim, a takeaway driver, says he was sat in his car at Kingsmeadow Services when three occupants from another car returned and hit his vehicle whilst opening a passenger door.
He asked them to be careful when they began to racially abuse him. He drove away and was followed down the road near to Beefeater on Cricklade Road.
A few minutes later the car reverse rammed into his vehicle before two men got out. There was a conversation before they punched the victim which caused bruising and swelling to his eye and a large scratch on his arm.
A number of people witnessed the assault, which took place around 7.40pm on Wednesday, September 15, with some calling out for the offenders to stop.
Police are asking these people to come forward as they may have information which will help with the investigation.
CCTV enquiries have been conducted at both premises and investigating officers are also appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage showing the incident.
