REGGAE selector, soundclash champion and MBE, David Rodigan is coming to Stroud this September.
He will be playing his unique collection of customised dub plates and classic recordings at the Sub Rooms on Saturday, September 11.
Rodigan started out as an actor, but had been obsessed with reggae from a young age and in 1978 became a broadcaster.
His reputation was cemented when he began clashing with Jamaica’s champion DJ, Barry G on JBC Radio in Jamaica and went on to clash with all the top Jamaican sound systems in the West Indies, the USA and England.
He has has now spent over 40 years as a celebrated DJ.
Also on the night, Stroud's Three Bags Full crew will be playing out through the Majestic Vision Sound System, plus there will be sets from Rafeelya and DJ Juicy.
Tickets, priced at £20, are available via https://thesubrooms.co.uk/
