AN EXHIBITION by art graduate Rose Bendall opens this evening at SVA in Stroud.
The show represents closure for Rose - a talented UWE art student who was unable to do her final degree show because of the pandemic.
As an artist Rose strives to create work that combines minimalism with surrealism, mainly through sculpture.
She enjoys experimenting with themes of repetition, movement and large, physical scale.
"I set them in an environment where they seem unusual, surprising and at times, concerning," she said.
"These elements, combined with a precise attention to detail, create a sense of bemusement, which I hope invite my audience to feel truly curious, challenging them to consider their idea of reality and the perceived facts which we take for granted.”
The show launches today (Saturday) at 6pm at Stroud Valleys Artspace, St John’s Road, Stroud.
