Is this the oldest working fridge in the UK?
John Kerry & Sons posted some pictures on Facebook's Not Unusual For Stroud page after uncovering it at a property in Stonehouse they were working on.
They wrote: "We went to a house in Stonehouse today which has what is believed to be the oldest working fridge in the UK.
"It was built in 1930's.
"The customers parents paid £49 pounds for it second hand in 1949.
"They even had the receipt for it.
"It still works and they still use it."
The post attracted lots of comments on Facebook with many posters praising the low carbon footprint of having an appliance still working after so many years.
