A Stroud man has been ordered to pay compensation to a man he racially abused and threatened at a bus station.
William Davies, 52, of Bath Road, Stroud, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 16 to using threatening, abusive or insulting words and behaviour at Gloucester Bus Station.
The charge said Mr Davies intended to cause the victim to fear that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him and that the offence, which occurred on September 13, was racially aggravated.
Mr Davies was ordered to pay compensation of £250 to the victim and pay £85 in costs.
