A 55-YEAR-OLD man who stole £280 worth of items from Sainsbury's in Stroud during two separate visits has been sentenced.
Andrew Nixon, of Oxstalls Drive, Gloucester, admitted to both thefts at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on January 8.
On September 18, last year, Nixon stole various drink items totalling £174 from the store in Dudbridge Hill.
A week later on September 25, he stole grocery items to the value of £106.55.
Nixon was ordered to pay compensation of £67.45, to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £21, and to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
