A CYCLIST has been injured in a hit and run accident in Minchinhampton.
The man suffered cuts to his head after being hit near the chemist in the town.
Posting on Facebook, Shian Shearing wrote: "My partner has just been in a hit and run by the chemist in Minchinhampton.
"The driver sped off, anyone with any information please get in contact. It was not a pleasant sight for my children to see when he managed to get home with blood on him."
A spokeserson for Gloucestershire police said: "Police were called shortly before 8.40am on Saturday October 12 with a report of a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle where the vehicle did not stop at the scene.
"The incident is reported to have happened around an hour earlier on Butts Road and the cyclist was seen by the ambulance service to be checked over. He suffered a head injury with cuts and bruising.
"Anyone with information should call police on 101 and reference incident 98 of October 12."
