Traffic is now being allowed back into Tesco after an incident earlier today.
Emergency services attended the supermarket in Stratford Road, Stroud just after 11.30am.
Police said a collision involving two vehicles occurred in the car park.
Shoppers at the scene said a car driver suffered a heart attack and collided with another vehicle, injuring a female.
A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire police said: "Police responded to reports of a two vehicle collision in the car park of Tesco in Stratford Road in Stroud."
The area by the cash machines and the Timpson kiosk was cordoned off.
Two ambulances attended.
Traffic was not allowed into the car park for a time and was diverted away at the roundabout by the petrol station.
South Western Ambulance Service said a 'traffic incident' was reported just after 11.30am.
Tesco staff were praised for handing water out to shoppers caught up in the incident.
