Eve Mallon, from Stone with Woodford Primary School in Berkeley, won Teacher of the Year.
She was nominated for having “so much time and energy for each and every child, and kindness in abundance”.
Being a younger teacher, some of the children say that she is like a really lovely big sister, and that they could tell her anything.
When Eve accepted her award she paid tribute to the school and her colleagues saying that “they inspired her to give all the extra time to the pupils that they need”.
She said that before she started teaching she never would have known how much she would love the job, and her drive is to ensure children “believe that there is nothing that they can’t do”.
