Ecotricity is a green success story born right here in the Cotswolds – from the moment Dale Vince had the first idea for a windmill on a hill in Nympsfield – through to Forest Green Rovers promotion to the Football League, the Stroud district has been behind us.
Today, we’re more than just Britain’s greenest energy company – the Ecotricity group now employees over 700 people here in Stroud, and more across the UK, a large number of these from the area.
From our customer service team speaking to people around the country, through to our engineers building windmills at Britwind and our latest endeavour – the Devil’s Kitchen vegan food factory, we’re completely linked to Gloucestershire.
We are really proud to be supporting the Pride of the Cotswold awards for its second year, last year’s event was an unforgettable night filled with inspirational stories – tears and overwhelming joy, as we got to celebrate some absolutely incredible people and groups. We’re sure there are more unsung heroes in the area that deserve recognition.
Go Green with Ecotricity
Ecotricity supplies 100% green, animal-free electricity and frack free gas to homes and businesses across the country. We were the first company in the world to offer green energy, all the way back in 1995.
We’re pretty unique in the world of energy companies – we harness our customers’ energy bills to build new sources of green energy right here in Britain. So, our customers are helping to build a greener Britain – every time they pay their bills.
Thanks to our customers, we’ve built enough new sources of green energy to save almost 40,000 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere each year.
And that’s not all – our customers also help us develop lots of other green projects in Britain, from developing new technology to store green energy, to expanding the Electric Highway, our national network of electric vehicle charge points.
Don’t just settle for energy with a green source – get a green outcome too.
