Six people have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs in Stroud.
Police officers yesterday saw a vehicle they believed was being used to supply drugs parked in Maypole car park near Tesco Express, Paganhill.
When police went to speak to the occupants three males tried to flee the scene but were detained and two other people were detained in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle resulted in a quantity of drugs being recovered.
A 17-year-old boy from Gloucester, two 18-year-old men from Gloucester, a 31-year-old woman from Stroud and a 44-year-old man from Stroud were all arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and remain in custody at this time.
Officers executed a separate warrant at an address in Church Road, Stroud, where officers seized a significant amount of cannabis and cash.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the address and has since been charged with possession with intent to supply a class B drug and being in possession of criminal property.
He is due to appear before magistrates youth court in Cheltenham tomorrow, Friday, April 26.
Local beat officer PC Justin Gay said: "This is the outcome of over 20 months of intense and persistent work within the community and with our partner agencies."
Local policing area & neighbourhood policing Inspector Sarah Blake said: "We will be persistent and we will not tolerate illegal drugs activity within our Neighbourhoods.
"With the help of partner agencies and the communities we will continue to work to bring offenders connected with these types of offences to court"
Local officer PCSO Gary Lynch said: "There is a great deal of good work being done in the community by the community and other support agencies. It is important this good work is supported and encouraged.
"The recent Police action is one of the many ways the good efforts and hard work of the community can be supported."
