A TREE in Bank Gardens, Stroud has been targeted by graffiti vandals.
Several walls and buildings across town have been defaced with graffiti during the last few weeks.
In a statement Stroud Town Council said that there were several areas in the town damaged by the graffiti. Its Green Spaces team have had to remove a vandalised bench to clean it up.
The incidents have been reported to police.
“The Town Council is disappointed that the actions of a few damage our important green spaces that are enjoyed and valued by the community at large,” said Stroud Town Mayor Kevin Cranston.
“Our resources, like every other council, are limited and it’s a shame that we need to use money on repairing and cleaning up damaged caused by vandals rather than for a beneficial use for the community."
