VISITORS were treated to displays of traditional Morris dancing and 'mumming' as part of the St George’s Day celebrations at Frampton on Severn on today.
They watched the Miserden and Styx of Stroud Morris Dancers perform outside the Three Horseshoes pub, before St George himself arrived to lead a procession around the green.
This was followed by sets from the Severn Blazers and Stroud Wassailers.
Miserden and Styx of Stroud Morris Dancers returned for another slot, before the Petty Heglars staged a mummers’ play - an old folk drama.
The event concluded with singing and more Morris dancing.
