Stroud has been hailed by The Guardian as the small town that spawned the Extinction Rebellion protest that brought London to a standstill during the last week.
Demonstrations against climate change have been taking place since last Monday, with thousands of people taking part in the demonstrations across the capital.
After many of the of the protestors were criticised publicly in the press, the Guardian has now written an article, hailing Stroud as the area that helped raise the profile of the protest.
