A man has died after his motorcycle crashed on Crickley Hill in the early hours of the morning. 

The single vehicle accident happened on the A417 shortly before 1am.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The A417 between the Air Balloon roundabout and the A46 Shurdington Road junction remained closed for most of the morning.

A spokesperson for Glos Police said: "Collision investigators would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 18 of 21 April."

Reports have suggested that the man killed was 29-years-old, no further information has been revealed following the incident.
