Stroud's MP and mayor have both come out in support of Extinction Rebellion's latest march.
David Drew and Kevin Cranston will both be present as protestors leave Stroud on a march to London.
The Stroud march is one on many across the country that will meet in London for a week-long 'International Rebellion'.
Participants are gathering outside the Sub Rooms from 9am tomorrow (Saturday).
David Drew said: "I’m very happy to give my support to this. We have been told in no uncertain terms that we are heading for climate change catastrophe. Climate extinction is the issue of our time. This March brings home to people just why it matters to all of us now.
Kevin Cranston said: "Although there has been nothing but Brexit in the news for what seems like months now, the most serious problem this country, and all nations on earth, face is Climate Change.
"We have only a very short time to turn things around, it is simply not good enough for governments to say it is a very important and then carry on as usual."
The march is first heading to Cirencester, with a protest planned for Saturday afternoon.
On Tuesday they will join up with an Oxford group before heading to London.
There the marchers will join a week-long rebellion.
