A Stroud man has been sentenced for an assault he committed on Christmas Day.
A community order was made against Martin Burns at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on March 26. This could lead to up to 30 days community service as part of his rehabilitation.
The 50-year-old, from Nursery Close, has also been given a restraining order preventing him from contacting two people and banning him from a road in Cashes Green.
He will also have to pay fines and compensation totalling £245.
