A Painswick woman is in with a chance of winning the holiday of a lifetime... and you can help her.
Kirsty Mackay has reached the final of a competition to win a weekend in Majorca flying in a party plane with 99 friends and family as well as celebrity presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.
She submitted her Fiesta Flamenca party plane entry, to celebrate her engagement to partner-of-10-years Matt Shea.
Matt asked Kirsty to marry him in Dubai on her birthday back in November, surprising her by getting a diver in the aquarium at the restaurant they were eating at, to hold up a sign with a message reading “Kirsty, will you marry me?”
If Kirsty is successful in winning the trip of a lifetime, her and Matt, along with their friends and family will celebrate with a special Fiesta Flamenca Party, where Rylan would be the host of Planepool Karaoke.
Speaking about her entry, Kirsty said: “We booked our wedding for December 15th this year, but decided not to have an engagement party so that we could save the money to put behind the bar at our wedding, so this would be an absolutely amazing engagement celebration.
“To have everyone we know and love together, enjoying and appreciating life for a whole weekend in the sun, would be just incredible. My friends and family are all that matter and if they are happy, then we are too."
Kirsty is one of nine finalists, chosen by Rylan from thousands of entries.
He said: "It was really hard to whittle it down as the standard of entries was so high.
“I would like to say a huge congratulations to Kirsty on making the final and wish her lots of luck.
"I can’t wait to get on board and join the lucky winner and their friends and family for a weekend of celebrating in sunny Majorca. It’s going to be an unforgettable trip.”
Airline Jet2holidays are running the contest to celebrate the arrival of its 100th aircraft into its fleet
You can vote for Kirsty’s entry at partyplane.jet2holidays.com. Voting will close at 6pm on April 3.
