WINNERS of the Pride of the Cotswolds Awards 2018 were saluted at a glittering ceremony last night.
Good neighbours, sporting heroes, inspirational teachers and dedicated volunteers were among those recognised during an uplifting evening at the New Lawn home of Forest Green Rovers Football Club.
The awards, whose headline sponsor was Ecotricity, brought together some remarkable people from across the area served by the Stroud News and Journal, Gloucestershire Gazette series and Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard, and were hailed a resounding success.
Other key sponsors were Renishaw plc, Bathurst Estate and Woodchester Valley Vineyard and Winery.

Child of the Year Award: Edie Layfield
Teacher of the Year Award: Eve Mallon
Volunteer of the Year Award: Linda Carter

Cotswold Community Pride Award: Florence Beetlestone
Best Community Project of the Year: Cotswold Hare Trail
School of the Year Award: Ashton Keynes CE Primary School
Public Sector Award: Ollie Phipps
