What do you do if your car catches fire? For one driver in Nailsworth, his solution was to drive it to a nearby fire station.
After a Mercedes caught fire in the town on Wednesday, June 27, its owner took it to Nailsworth Community Fire Station which was just a few minutes away.
There, it was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
Carl Goymer, group manager for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, said, "We received a call about a car on fire just before 4pm on June 27.
“The car was very close to Nailsworth Community Fire Station and was safely extinguished by the crew.
"The vehicle was badly damaged by the fire and is not being treated as suspicious."
The recommended advice if your car catches fire is to pull over, get out and alert the fire service.
