STROUD has been named as one of the best places to live in the southwest by the Sunday Times.
The list of 11 towns has been topped by Frome in Somerset but Stroud should be proud to make the prestigious list.
Locations were assessed on several factors, from jobs, schools, broadband speed, culture, community spirit and the quality of local shops.
In the survey conducted by The Sunday times, it was found, on average, a starter home costs £127,920, mid-market property £254,630 and a family home £413,950.
Stroud was the only Gloucestershire Town to make the list with Cheltenham dropping out from last year’s list.
