THE Stroud congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is appealing for the community to help refugees.
There are an estimated 60 million people forcibly displaced from their homes of which half are children.
In Europe there are one and a quarter million refugees who have arrived over the last year from war-torn parts of the Middle East and Africa.
Through the “Mormon Helping Hands” program, toiletries, clothes, camping equipment and cash donations can be raised to aid these refugees.
A collection point at B&Q Car Park in Stroud will be setup on Saturday, May, 13 from 10am until 4pm where anyone can come and drop-off their donations.
For further details on donations see: facebook.com/collect4refugees.
