PEOPLE have woken up to a blanket of snow across the Stroud district this morning.
After many were left disappointed by the Met Office forecast for snow yesterday afternoon, a flurry of the white stuff swept over the Five Valleys overnight, quite unexpectedly.
Children have already been making the most of it, with some early birds up before 6am to go sledging.
Corey-Rae Brinkworth, three and Riley Brinkworth, five, were out at 5.45am before school to make the most of the white stuff in Stonehouse.
Motorists are encouraged to take care out on the roads and leave longer for journeys.
