THE HISTORIC Haresfield Beacon was lit last night to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.
Crowds gathered at the beauty spot to witness the lighting, share a drink and sing Happy Birthday to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
More than 900 beacons were lit across the UK last night in appreciation of the Queen's lifetime of service, with Her Majesty lighting the principal beacon at Windsor Castle.
Beacons were also lit at the four highest points in the UK - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Mount Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland.
