EMERGENCY resurfacing work in Paganhill Lane has been causing long tails backs in Stroud again today.
The northbound lane has been closed for roadworks since Monday, meaning all traffic into Stroud town centre from the east has to come via Cainscross Road.
This has left long queues forming on Cainscross Road eastbound, with stationary traffic stretching back to Dudbridge Roundabout again this morning.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes along the main road, possibly even worse at rush hour.
Bus services have also been affected.
Stagecoach West tweeted: “We expect delays again today due to Paganhill lane closure. Please be patient we are doing what we can to keep delays to a minimum.”
The number 67 service will be unable to serve Mosley Road in Cashes Green today.
The bus company apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Gloucestershire County Council says gas mains replacements are being carried out over the school holidays - until April 8.
The road has been affected since Monday.
Paganhill Lane #Stroud closed, northbound, 28th March - 8th April. Services 67 & 66S will divert via Cainscross Rd, Stroud direction only.
